Ms. Faye
Hello
I am Faye Watson, but the students call me Ms. Faye. I am the Resident Hall Director (RHD) for GAMES students living in Anderson Hall. The 2007-2008 year marked my first year as RHD, but I fell in love with GAMES students the previous year when I worked with them as a dorm monitor. When the opportunity was given to me to become the GAMES RHD, I enthusiastically accepted.
My husband, Gene, lives with me in Anderson Hall and directs the Freshman Experience students. We have been married 43 years and spent many of those years working with children and teens in a variety of capacities.
I am no stranger to teenagers as I raised thee of my own. With a son and two daughters now all happily married, we have 10 wonderful grandchildren. My philosophy in working with teens is simply to understand that each one is a unique individual and you "just have to love them all."
Anderson Hall opened in the fall of 2007. We have suite-style rooms with bathrooms in each suite. Because of your age and our responsibility to you, we do have rules that govern the dorm and you as a member of the Academy. Respect for the GAMES administration, housing staff and your peers is expected.
Most of the bonding and friendships occur by attending activities and trips planned only for GAMES students. We encourage you to remain at GAMES often on weekends so that you can participate in these events, becoming a vital member of the Academy and enjoying the full GAMES experience.
I look forward to meeting you, and I hope that you will consider joining us at GAMES.
Ms. Faye
