DISABILITY SERVICES
The purpose of the Office of Disability Services is to ensure that students with disabilities have equal access to all programs
offered at Middle Georgia College. We are advocates for students with disabilities and encourage their independence and development.
Middle Georgia College is dedicated to helping all students, including those students with disabilities, realize their potential.
Services are provided to students on an individualized and flexible basis. It is the student's responsibility to seek assistance
and make his or her needs known to the Office of Disability Services.
Students should contact the Disability Services Office in the early stages of their college planning. Students can begin providing
documentation before they actually begin classes.
Services are available at no cost to all students who:
- Have a disability that substantially limits one or more major life activity (such as walking, talking, learning, hearing, seeing);
- Have approved documentation¹ of a disability;
- Voluntarily disclose to the Office of Disability Services.
