THE HUMANITIES DIVISION ONLINE ADVISING CENTER

Statement of Purpose

The Humanities Division Online Advising Center is primarily intended to be a one-stop resource center for advisees at Middle Georgia College majoring in one of the Humanities areas—General Studies; Art; Liberal Arts; Communication Studies; Speech & Drama--Musical Theatre; Speech & Drama--Traditional; Music--Voice; Music--Instruments/Band; English; and Foreign Language.  However, the Center may also be useful to future MGC Humanities-area advisees still in high school who, in order to make the transition to college easier their first semester, might want to familiarize themselves with some helpful advising and related information prior to enrolling at MGC.

Probably the most important goal of this website is to enable advisees to plan ahead of time for the scheduling of their courses each semester.  The information and linked resources below should empower students to be active and knowledgeable participants in the registration process when they meet with their assigned advisors to schedule their courses--or to self-register themselves online if they meet the eligibility requirements for doing so.

The Humanities Division at MGC looks forward to assisting its advisees in any way possible.
