An alumna of Middle Georgia College, Willene Foster has been instructing piano students for more than 34 years. She has served as Piano Chairman for Georgia Music Educators Association District Eleven for more than a dozen years, planning and coordinating Piano Festival, State Piano Competition Auditions, and other piano events as well as hosting state-wide events at the GMEA In-Service Conference. Several of Mrs. Foster's students have been selected to perform at state piano events.Mrs. Foster has served as pianist / organist at Longstreet United Methodist Church for more than 40 years and has also served many other churches on a regular or interim basis.


In constant demand as an accompanist, Mrs. Foster has performed at thousands of weddings, funerals, talent shows, beauty contests, and similar events throughout Georgia. She has also served as accompanist for Middle Georgia College musicals for more than twenty-five years.

Mrs. Foster is married to MGC Band Director Louis Foster and is mother to Wimberly Quay of Gainesville, FL; David Foster of Cochran; and Mary Claire Foster (deceased). She is also excited to be grandmother to Zachary Andrew Quay, son of Wimberly and Andy Quay of Gainesville, Florida.

Mrs. Foster teaches Applied Piano at Middle Georgia College and serves as friend, confidante, and adoptive mother to many more students on the MGC campus.
