The Department of Biology currently offers a sequence of General Biology courses, a sequence of Anatomy and Physiology courses, and a Microbiology course with other courses possible when student interest is high. The Department also contributes to a sequence of Interdisciplinary Science courses which encompass biology, chemistry, and physics. The Department currently has four full-time faculty members which allows for small class sizes. Although lectures are a large part of each course, the Department focuses on providing hands-on experiences through labs each week to facilitate the learning process. The Biology faculty constantly challenge students and force them to think for themselves.
