Mission
The mission of the Academic Resource Center (ARC) is to assist students through the transition to college life and provide services such as peer tutoring and academic resources that are designed to reinforce or improve the academic skills of MGC students, traditional and non-traditional.
Services
Tutoring is available on our main campus in Cochran, and at our sites in Dublin and Eastman. Qualified peer tutors provide the support and resources necessary for students to achieve academic success. In addition, computer access is readily available on all three campuses, and students have the luxury of utilizing alternate textbooks, videos, computer software, and old exams that are supplied by instructors.
The ARC oversees MGCS1101, which is an introduction to college course. MGCS1101 was created to assist students through the transition to college life and to offer students essential tools to succeed academically and socially. Students engage in active learning strategies, small group discussions, writing assignments, and outside work. They explore values, goals, career choice, and academic skills interaction.

- To provide tutoring and resources to students enabling them to achieve their educational, personal, and career goals.
Location
The Cochran ARC is located in the lower level of Roberts Memorial Library (G-27). The Dublin ARC is located in (LB 200). The Eastman ARC is located in the library (1155).

Friday  8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Scheduling a Tutoring Session
To schedule an appointment with one of our tutors, please come by the Academic Resource Center. Standing appointments are available on a first come, first serve basis and assure clients an ongoing support system. Students are always welcome to walk in and seek assistance from an available tutor. After-hours appointments are available under special circumstances.
