Coach Scott Moe enters his 12th season as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Middle Georgia College. The Warriors are coming off a season that produced a 22-8 record, and a second place finish in Region XVII. “Last years was a step in the right direction.” states Moe. “We are excited that we are returning a good nucleus of players, and feel real good about our new signees! Moe won his first GJCAA Conference Championship and Region XVII Tournament Championship in the 2009-10 season. He also took the Warriors to their first visit in 30 years to the NJCAA National tournament in that season as well. “That is where we want our program to be year in and year out” states Moe. Moe reached a milestone last season with a victory over Waycross College on Feburary 2. It was Moe's 200th win at Middle Georgia. Moe has an overall record of 191-116 as the Men’s Head Coach at MGC. Moe spent his first season at MGC as the Head Women’s Coach, posting a 16-13 record with the Lady Warriors. Moe’s overall record stands at 207-129 at MGC. Moe has had previous coaching stints at Duluth High School (1988-1991) and Valdosta State University ( 1991-2000). He is a 1982 graduate of South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, GA where he lettered in basketball. He received his bachelors in Mathematics education form Anderson University in Indiana, there he lettered in Varsity Football as a defensive back. In 1991 he received his Masters in Physical education from Valdosta State University. Moe is the proud father of three children. Zack (19) is a Freshman at Valdosta State University, Kiley (15) is a Freshman at Bleckley County High School, and Macy (12) is a sixth grader at Bleckley County Middle School.
