2008 Season In Review
The MGC Warriors won GJCAA 2007 season play with a
conference record of 17-3 and an overall 37-10 mark.
Amanda Hall and Lauren Christensen repeated on the All-
Conference Team and Amanda was named GJCAA Player of
the Year and nominated for All-American honors. Amanda's
Player of the Year award was the third straight for MGC as
Lauren got the award in 2006 and she had followed Leigh
Baker of 2005. In NJCAA Region XVII 2007 tournament play
the Warriors had a first round bye, won the second and third
rounds, and advanced to the championship game on Sunday
before losing to Perimeter. Warriors with ouststanding
offensive performance in the tournament were: Aussie
Christensen (9-14, 2 homeruns, 3 runs scored and 4 RBIs);
and Amanda Hall (8-15, 3 doubles, 2 homeruns, 3 runs scored
and 3 RBIs). Tiffany Reeves posted both of the MGC wins in
the tournament and joined Hall and Christensen on the All-
Tournament Team |
