Air Traffic Management

4-Year Program of Study

On behalf of the Middle Georgia College leadership and staff, it is my pleasure to introduce Middle Georgia College's (MGC) nationally ranked Air Traffic Management degree programs.

In 2007, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) placed Middle Georgia College at the top of a distinguished list of new Air Traffic Collegiate Training (AT-CTI) programs in the country. Being the "number 1" ranked new college is an honor and is an indication of the education you will receive with MGC.

The Air Traffic Control staff has decades of experience, maintains state-of-the-art simulators and operates one of only two college air traffic control facilities in the country. The Air Traffic Control program maintains 1.7 million dollars worth of advanced simulation equipment and operates within the national airspace system using cutting edge communications equipment.

Four-year students will receive the required knowledge to bypass the first five weeks of FAA training and earn the opportunity to work in a live air traffic control facility (Eastman Air Traffic Control Tower).

Middle Georgia College's air traffic staff and faculty are committed to provide our students with the best education possible; we look forward to starting you on a journey of a lifetime!

Students who anticipate taking flight or air traffic control courses at Middle Georgia College must be able to pass and maintain a class two medical certificate. For more information regarding this requirement, click here: FAA Medical Requirement
