Biography

Charlie Agnew attended Bluefield College where he completed a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Soon thereafter, he completed a M.F.A. in Painting at the University of Memphis. After graduating and doing some part-time teaching at the University of Memphis, he taught at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee as a Visiting Professor of Art. Charlie currently teaches most of the studio, art history, and art survey courses. His artworks have recently appeared at the Contemporary Arts Exchange in Macon, Georgia and Gallery RFD in Swainsboro, Georgia. He is also the Gallery Director of Peacock Gallery, scheduling six to seven shows annually. Since arriving at Middle Georgia College, he has advised the Student Art League, and for the past six years, he has helped coordinate the International Festival of Middle Georgia College.
