Principles of Accounting II (ACCT 2102). Biography Professor Sullivan began his career at MGC after finishing his Master
of
Science degree in Administration along with his undergraduate degree
in
Computer Information Systems from Georgia Southwestern State
University. He received his doctorate in Adult Education from The
University of Georgia in May 2007.
Professor Sullivan began teaching for MGC January of 1990 covering
such courses as Introduction to Computers, Fundamentals of Computer
Applications, Business Communications and Accounting.
Professor Sullivan's philosophy of teaching comes from an
Essentialists
point of view. The Essentialist
teacher will teach basic and essential knowledge using a task-oriented
approach. The Progressive philosophy of teaching stands in stark
contrast to
Essentialism and basically promotes free thinking and democratic
processes within the classroom. He feels most teachers blend the
various philosophies molding them into workable embodiments of
thought and practice.
Away from school, he enjoys being with his family and friends that
have
supported him along lifes journey is
his escape from the routine.
