Biography

Effective January 1, 2012 I am serving as Director of the Dublin Campus of Middle Georgia College. This is my 8th year at MGC and I have been fortunate to work at the Dublin Campus during my time here. Until this past year I taught American and World History classes for the Division of Social Science and Education and I will continue to teach at least one class per semester while serving as Campus Director. I remain the Dublin adviser for History majors and assist with advising for Education and business majors. These students should see me regarding advisement and graduation concerns. I have served as Chair of the QEP Implementation Committee and the Scholarship Committee and have been a member of several other college-wide committees. For the last four years I have been the faculty adviser to the Rotaract Club, an award-winning group of students dedicated to community service. Before coming to MGC I taught at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton; Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina; Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana; Texas A&M University in College Station, TX; and in the Summer-School-at-Sea program at Texas A&M University-Galveston. My main research interest is in US political/military history in the early 20th Century but I enjoy teaching in just about any area of history. Please do not hesitate to call or stop by if you need to see me.
