POLS 2601 Public Administration Biography Dr. Dan Guerrant was born in Roanoke, Virginia. He received his B.A.
and M.A. in Political Science from Virginia Tech and his Ph.D. in
Political Science from the University of Georgia.
Dr. Guerrant arrived at Middle Georgia College in 1999. Previously,
he
had taught at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland,
where
students highlight their books with black magic-markers. He
has published and presented papers in the areas of presidential
primaries, interest group influence, and party identification. Armed
with several teaching awards, Dr. Guerrant encourages his students to
embrace his philosophy of life, "Doubt Skepticism."
Dr. Guerrant's several hobbies include photography and shooting. His
current passion is fishing. The last fish he caught was so big the
picture
of it alone weighed forty pounds.
