Using Anti-virus Software

Before you can connect to the MGC Network you must do the following:

1. Install anti-virus software and set it for auto update;

2. Conduct a virus check using your anti-virus software;

3. Install critical updates for your Operating System and set your computer to auto update

EASY WAYS TO PROTECT YOURSELF

1. Do not open attachments from E-mail addresses you don't recognize.
2. If you visit a website and a popup appears saying that your computer is unsafe, ignore it
3. Keep operating system and Antivirus up to date
4. Lock computer if walking away for any period of time
5. Do not give out personal information (username, password, MGCID, Social Security Number) via email, we will never ask for it in this medium
