![]() MGC SCIENCE CLUB HOLDS DEBATE ON EMBRYONIC STEM CELL RESEARCH (Cochran, GA) – The Middle Georgia College Science Club recently held a debate on Embryonic Stem Cell Research, with two teams of faculty members-Dr. Gloria Huddleston and Dr. Brooke Miller spoke against the subject while Dr. Sharon Mozley-Standridge and Dr. Deepa Arora spoke for the research. Students were then given a forum to express their views and ask questions. Dr. Arora, the Chair of the Division of Science, Mathematics, and Engineering, said “The discussion was very lively and got a majority of the audience engaged in the conversation. Students participated actively and several questions were fielded from the audience. Since this debate generated a lot of interest from the student body, the Science Club will be organizing additional debates on exciting, interest-generating issues of discussion in the future.” |
