GOVERNOR DEAL THROWS FIRST PITCH AT MGC WARRIORS’ BASEBALL GAME
By: Tricia Purser Release Date:05/03/2012

(Cochran, GA) – Georgia Governor Nathan Deal recently threw out the ceremonial first pitch at a Middle Georgia College Warriors’ Baseball game against Darton College. After throwing out the first pitch, Deal and his wife Sandra met with the baseball players and stayed to watch the Warriors’ 4-1 victory over Darton. MGC Head Baseball Coach Craig Young said, “It was a great honor to have Governor Deal and his wife Sandra attend our game on Saturday and throw out the first pitch. They were both gracious enough to spend a little time speaking to each player, and it would be a privilege to have them back down in the future. And by the way Governor Deal has a pretty good arm, he threw the pitch from the mound and it was a strike.”
