POET QUEEN SHEBA PERFORMS AT MGC DUBLIN CAMPUS

(Cochran, GA) – Middle Georgia College recently celebrated the Dublin Campus Multicultural Affairs Fall Opening with a performance from spoken word poet Queen Sheba at the Dublin Campus Student Center. She performed excerpts from her novel, “Long Story Short: From Foster Care to Fame,” which features poems and short stories about her experiences growing up in foster care and youth homes before being adopted. After her reading, Sheba participated in a question and answer session with students. Sheba has toured in over 8 countries and is a national Poetry Slam Champion. She is the co-founder of the Rough Language Music and Poetry Series, and is the founder, writer, and producer of “Say What?!?!,” a national collegiate performance workshop. Sheba has also been published in Essence magazine.
