MGC STUDENTS ATTEND THE USG'S AAMI BEST PRACTICES CONFERENCE

(Cochran, GA) – On Friday April 15th-16th Macon State College hosted The University System of Georgia’s African–American Male Initiative Best Practices Conference for AAM students at Middle Georgia College as well as 21 other USG campuses which translated into over 250 conference attendees. MGC students Kataurius Davis, Marcus Jefferson, Javen Jones, Contrell Sims, and Tony Wright were highly inspired by the motivating words from Actor, Author and Philanthropist Mr. Hill Harper, and Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice Winner, Author, Speaker, Community Servant, Entrepreneur of a multimillion dollar management, technology and policy consulting firm Dr. Randell Pinkett.

The students attended workshops that included Cultivating a Passion for Success, From Dreams to Reality, The World Beyond Your Neighborhood, I Am Man, and Create the Career You Really Want Through Student Leadership, Internships, and Graduate School.

“Our MGC students were inspired and challenged to redefine success and to aspire for greatness,” said Crystal Allen-Joyner, MGC Multicultural Advisor-Coordinator.
