![]() MGC HOLDS OTA PROGRAM’S 15TH ANNUAL PINNING CEREMONY (Cochran, GA) – Middle Georgia College held its Occupational Therapy Assistant Program’s 15th Annual Pinning Ceremony at Russell Auditorium for students, faculty, and friends on May 13. After opening remarks from Dr. Mary Ellen Wilson, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Class President Ian Twombly and Vice President Tonya Collins made class presentations, as well as John Merritt, a 2011 OTA Class Officer, who presented gifts to the graduating class. Awards were also given to Tonya Collins for Highest Academic Average and Outstanding Future COTA, as well as to Lacey Franks for Highest Fieldwork Average and Lawson McDaniel III for the Fieldwork Educator Award. The 18 graduates were pinned by OTA faculty members Amy Bryant, Betsy McDaniel, Jessica Pipkin, and Jason Bryant. Jessica Pipkin then led the graduates through the Pledge and Creed for Occupational Therapists. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the lobby of Russell Hall. |
