Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I am eligible to graduate?
Students must meet with their academic advisor to have all coursework/graduation requirements verified. We highly recommend that students do this when approaching 30 semester hours. The student's academic advisor will complete a Graduation Check Sheet for the student and will forward the check sheet to the Office of the Registrar for final approval.
How do I apply for Graduation?
Student must complete a graduation application and return it to the Registrar’s Office prior to the deadline for the semester they intend to graduate. Students will not be evaluated for graduation until the application is completed. Applications returned AFTER the deadline could delay transcripts or diplomas being mailed and/or could forfeit privileges of participating in the Spring Commencement Ceremony.
Is there a fee?
Yes. A graduation fee of $35.00 is due prior the deadlines for the semester in which the student expects to graduate. The fee covers the engraving of the diploma, and the purchase of your cap and gown.

Approximately two months prior to graduation, you will receive general instructions from the Office of the Registrar concerning the date and time, caps and gowns, rehearsal and your seating arrangement for the graduation ceremony. For currently enrolled students, these instructions will be sent via your campus email address. Letters will be sent to students who are not currently enrolled.
What do I do if I need special accommodations?
