Disability Services
At the intake interview, the documentation review involves the assessment of the individual's disability with respect to the paperwork presented and the accommodations requested. If the student doesn't have supporting official documentation, the student will be given a packet that the student will need to complete and submit to the office for acceptance. Documentation provided or the documentation being requested must follow Georgia Board of Regents Criteria (BOR).
The Office of Student Services is the only department on campus for receiving disability related documentation and approving requested accommodations. The types of disabilities served include but are not limited to learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, visual, hearing, mobility, psychiatric, and other health impairments. Services provided include but are not limited to test proctoring, classroom modifications, adaptive technology, and note taking assistance, faculty notification, and assistance with campus accessibility.
