The "Factoring" workshop is a one-hour workshop to help students improve math skills in the area of factoring polynomials and is a great way for students, in all levels of college math, to expand their knowledge of the factoring process. The workshop is filled with hints and tips from both instructors and students alike that will make factoring an easier and less daunting task. It will also break down factoring step by step and bridge the links between complex equations and simple arithmetic. Anyone that has ever been frustrated by the task of factoring is invited to join this workshop and take the headache out of their daily studies. The "Fractions" workshop is a one-hour workshop to help students improve mathematical skills involving fractions. Do fractions cause you problems in math? If you never learned how to master fractions in high school come by the ARC and get a “refresher” course on how to do fractions! We also teach specifically the way math professors prefer students to work problems with fractions. We offer the “Fractions” workshop every other week in the ARC. The "Essay" workshop is a one-hour workshop to help students improve writing skills. Come check out this academic workshop in the ARC to learn valuable skills that you need to be the best writer you can be! Learn how to structure and develop a basic, 5–paragraph essay, starting with the thesis statement and working your way to the conclusion.
