Constitution
The Middle Georgia College Student Government Association represents the student body of the College at the Cochran and Dublin campuses. The SGA is composed of the College Student Executive Council (CSEC), made up of the chairs, vice chairs, and secretary/treasurers from Cochran and Dublin campuses and the senates from both campuses. The senate on the Cochran campus, elected by the Cochran student body, is composed of six senators elected from the residence halls, six commuter senators and six at-large senators. The Dublin senate, elected by the Dublin student body, is composed of three sophomore senators, three freshman senators, and four at-large senators. The CSEC is made up of officers elected by the senators from each campus.
The SGA plans and executes many worthwhile projects and activities, which enrich College life. The SGA, in order to carry out its purpose as outlined in the Student Government Constitution shall exercise the following duties:
- Provide a forum for communication and recommendation between the students of the College and the administrative officers of the College concerning the problems and issues that are important to students.
- Promote student government through sharing of ideas and information, and making recommendations and assisting the officials through delegated authority in implementing programs of student activities and campus life.
